Heather Stearns journey into pottery began while she attended Juniata College, where she found herself needing to fill an arts requirement. A friend recommended that she try a ceramics class and it became an instant love affair.
Heather began her own company called Muddy Creek Pottery in 1994. She moved her studio from PA to North Wolcott, VT in 2000. She continues to invent unique designs in the quiet woods of Vermont and is inspired by most anything found in nature and her own daily life.
